Stefan in Hospital
Thursday, June 15th, 2006On Sunday 11th June, Stefan was involved in a Speedway racing accident. He was the only one hurt, I don’t have specific details at this moment in time all i know is that he was driven into by another rider at approximately 30-40 mph after being taken to the ground. His injuries include his arm having been broken in two places, and soft tissue damage along his spine and hips. He was operated on by surgeons on Tuesday 13th, they put two permanent metal plates in his arm due to the severity of the breaks. After having visiting him yesterday in Gillingham Hospital, I can say his spirits have lifted somewhat since I last spoke to him. Doctors are hopeful that Stefan will be back to work in three months time, as for Speedway, it could be anything up to 6-8 months.
If you would like to send a message to Stefan, please e-mail me at matthew@indarkness.co.uk, or leave your comments on this post.
Also if you would like to make any donations these would be gratefully recieved (and probably used to replace the leathers the medics had to cut open!). You can donate via PayPal using the button below (all credit and debit cards accepted):
